Should I move on or should I stay put?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for close to 5 months now, my question is, is how long should you wait to hear an " I Love You" before you should move on? He is 44 and I am 32 and anticipation is getting to be a you know what...and I know that I feel it for him but I am not sure how he feels about me, and i know that sometimes it takes people longer but what is a good timeframe to know if you should move on or not?
