Is it possible to accurately shoot non-lethal projectiles as a recreational activity?

Is there anyway to shoot low velocity rounds out of a gas operated rifle and/or handgun accurately (100-200 yards or more for rifle and 25-50 for handgun)? The reason I am asking is because i want to have a more ranged and realistic version of paintball, this is PURELY for recreation and has no other purpose. I am not looking for simunition, but something of a higher range.
