How may Americans were killed by Japanese Swords in World War II?

I'm not talking about bayonets or Knives, I'm talking about full blown swords. I'm wondering because, I know the sword was symbolic in the time of war for Japan, but, I want to know if it was completely ineffective to use in the battlefield.
