Why do PCT's still think the illuminati is active even though it was destroyed?

It was a 17th century secret society in Bavaria organized to overthrow monarchies and was destroyed in 15 years. Where did they get the idea that it's still active, and where did they get the idea that they decided to stop overthrowing monarchies and start worshiping Satan? Why do pct's continue to believe in this theory even though Judeo-Christian images have never been proven nor has a group of satanic Freemasons (Which, by the way most Freemasons don't worship Satan) wanting to hasten the coming of the anti-Christ. So with these questions and holes in logic, why do they still believe it?
