Tenants right nj landlord just shows up no notice taking pics?

when your renting you almost have the rights of an owner.but not quite. you can stand in your door and keep him out ,but you have to let him in from time to time to evaluate the property ,but he must give advance notice. now ,if you are having problems and you call him he needs access to determine the problem.
