Indian Policies-Fairness?

It is a deeply saddening experience that the Native Americans went through at that time and carried on for generations. One only wonders how they managed to rise above the atrocities and made the most of a horrific situation. Truly some would say they received an ample amount of money, but really, what did money mean to them at that time? It would have been like the white settlers receiving beads for their lands that they dearly loved where is the fairness and equity in that?
